I don't think evil and good are real, instead there is a rational reasoning behind the cause of the event. When we talk about good and evil we would most likely be referring to a being that does what it does for the sole purpose of it. Ex. a demon from Sci fi art work would be inflicting suffering only for the purpose of it, but things like this don't exist. Everyone you would call evil, has its own reasoning behind his actions and nobody is doing something that in their mind is wrong, unless they genuinely suffer from mental disorder, which can happen, but most of the time it's not the case. If you would have asked Hitler, he would say that he believes his actions were the good and he genuinely would think that it was the right thing. Good and evil and subjective - if you are a bank owner and steal money from the people, this is "good" for you, because now when you have more resources you odds of survival are better while competing in the natural selection. The same deed is seen as "evil" by the people you stole money from and so on...
